Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant.

Temporary Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant provides direct administrative support to the Office of the Board of Trustees. Under the direction of departmental leadership, the Administrative Assistant coordinates and executes essential administrative functions to ensure the efficient operation of the office. This role supports time-sensitive, confidential, and high-level work, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Office of the Board of Trustees, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and logistical coordination.

  • Perform data processing and administrative recordkeeping, including maintaining files, updating tracking documents, and supporting reporting needs.

  • Coordinate logistics for events and special meetings, including catering, room reservations, travel coordination, and on-site support.

  • Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders, trustees, and administrative partners.

  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support departmental priorities.
