Human Resources Generalist Human Resources The non-partisan Human Resources Department of the Minnesota House of Representatives is currently accepting applications for a Human Resources Generalist position. The Human Resources Department is responsible for: benefit administration, policy and procedure development, employee relations, compensation administration, staffing, timecard and leave administration (including MN Paid Leave), worker’s compensation, special projects and a variety of other Human Resources functions. Candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to remain organized in fast paced environment with competing priorities. Previous experience working in an environment with sensitive/confidential information required. Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and team skills; the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail; and a proactive approach. Excellent math and computer skills with a variety of software applications including HRIS, benefits, spreadsheets, retirement, payroll, or other financial systems required. Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook required. Ability to work long, irregular hours, sometimes with little notice, necessary. Previous HR experience preferred and knowledge of the legislature a plus. BA/BS strongly preferred. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered. This is a full-time, at-will position that works in person with the possibility of some interim remote work consistent with House policies and department needs. Human Resources Generalist range $75,472.80 – $135,851.04. The starting salary range for an entry-level Human Resources Generalist is generally between $75,472.80 and $83,020.08, depending on relevant experience.
