Job Summary:

M1 is looking for an Egress Specialist.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Performs aircraft egress systems repair/maintenance tasks under technical guidance and supervision.
* Performs tasks with minimum supervision.
* Coordinates maintenance activities with senior egress personnel as required.
* Performs maintenance and inspections of aircraft egress systems.
* Conducts test of harnesses after cleaning/repair.
* Performs system troubleshooting tasks.
* Performs operational checks of assigned systems.
* Annotates maintenance actions in aircraft records and is knowledgeable in CAMS documentation.
* Practices good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times.
* Must obtain all certifications required to perform the job requirements.
* May be selected to perform special certifications including Red X inspections, if no qualified volunteers,
then most qualified person may be selected.
* May be assigned to maintain TO files, bench stock, shop stock, CTKs, or hazardous waste areas.
* Shall assist other personnel and work centers as directed.
* Must promote Company values, policies, and standards of conduct.
* Must be customer oriented and ensure professional coordination with Operations and other base
agencies.
* Shall perform other duties assigned to include TDY and travel.
* Must be able to work day shift, night shift, or weekend duty as required.
* Receives cross-utilization training and is qualified to perform those maintenance tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A working knowledge of the repair of aircraft egress systems and of the use of associated schematic
diagrams, charts and drawings is required.
* Must possess knowledge of the applicable technical orders, related publications and safety regulations.
* High school diploma or the equivalent is required.
* Specialized courses in egress systems maintenance are desired.
* Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
* A minimum of two years recent experience in aircraft egress system maintenance and completion of a
basic egress system maintenance course is required.
* The basic course requirement may be waived by HQ AETC if there is extensive hands on, practical
experience.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license and may be required to obtain and
maintain a class CDL.
