Summary RN Trillium Center Part-Time, .1 FTE Third Shift BHCOR-Cor Trillium Center I Corbin, KY The Adult Psychiatric I unit is licensed for 22 acute psychiatric beds for patients with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. The Adult Psychiatric I unit specializes in adult care of patients 18 years old and older with a primary psychiatric diagnosis. Provides supervision of workflow and staff within the Department. Assures the provision of patient care by addressing performance, patient, family and physician issues/concerns as appropriate. Ensures on-going compliance with accrediting agency and State Licensure requirements. Shares knowledge of functions and standards to assist others in planning improvements; communicates information; designs materials and education programs; teaches; coaches and encourages recognition of achievement. Acts as a clinical resource and mentor/preceptor to staff. Operates within budgetary goals as defined by department executive. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives. Job Description: RN-Lead Under the direction of Unit Director, Clinical House Supervisor, +/or Designee Provides supervision of workflow and staff for a designated shift in overseeing the efficient functioning of the department. Assures the provision of patient care, by addressing performance, risk management, patient, family and physician issues/concerns as appropriate. The Charge Nurse is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness. As a clinical nurse, the charge nurse spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc. Requirements: Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky. Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university. RN Patient PT Deteriorations Basic Life Support is required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
