Job Description Job Title: Delivery Driver Reports To: General Manager Department: Transportation Shift: 6:30 am Essential Duties Job Responsibilities: Drive and operate trucks. Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps. Inspect truck. Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Load and unload cargo. Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes always. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy Competency: Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Keeps commitments; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Initiative - Asks for and offers help when needed. Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed weather related cold, heat, and moisture in an outdoor environment. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Driver Skills and Qualifications: Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge Pallet jack experience preferred Listening and verbal communication skills
