Hours & Pay



  • Pay Rate: $23.50-$36.93 per hour, based on experience, plus a $2.00 shift differential
  • Shifts Available: 2nd and 3rd shift
  • Schedule Expectations: Weekend work and overtime as business needs require
  • Employment Type: Direct hire



What You'll Do



  • Set up, operate, and fine-tune CNC mills and lathes to meet production specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining specifications
  • Program offsets, zero points, and reference locations to ensure machining accuracy
  • Apply working knowledge of G & M codes to support edits and troubleshooting
  • Load materials, verify machine settings, and inspect first-run and sample parts
  • Monitor tooling, replace inserts, and manage tool wear to maintain quality standards
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Meet production targets for quality, quantity, and cycle time
  • Enter work orders and updates into the maintenance system
  • Perform routine machine checks, including coolant and oil levels
  • Support and guide other CNC team members on advanced machining tasks
  • Promote safe equipment operation while supporting production schedules



What You'll Bring



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of hands-on CNC setup, operation, and troubleshooting experience
  • Strong working knowledge of G & M codes
  • Experience operating CNC mills and lathes
  • Proven ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Background machining of steel or other metal components
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
  • Solid math skills and clear verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment that may be hot in summer and cold in winter
  • Availability for overtime and weekend shifts as required
  • Willingness to join a union and pay dues within the first 90 days



Training & Work Environment

All new hires complete a two-week shadowing and onboarding period with experienced CNC professionals to ensure safety, consistency, and quality-regardless of prior experience. While machining is primarily performed in a dedicated CNC area, occasional movement through the foundry may be required.
