Job Description

The Warehouse Specialist supports Supply Chain by assisting with inventory, shipping, and receiving operations. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely logistics, and a well-organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced with SAP or similar systems, and committed to maintaining a safe and efficient workspace. Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain the warehouse layout, ensuring efficient storage and accessibility of inventory, products, and packing materials.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipmentsfor accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies.
  • Process transactions in SAP, including:Shipping and receiving,Inventory transfers and expense tracking, Weekly cycle counts and adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including real-time updates of stock levels and product movement.
  • Prepare products for shipment, including labeling, packing, and staging for outbound logistics.
  • Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillmentto services operations order.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, adhering to Southwire safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment(e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently (if applicable).
  • Collaborate with Operations and team membersto support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Education: High School Diploma

Required Experience: 1 -3 years

Preferred Skills, Licenses, & Certificates:

  • Must have basic computer skills - MS Excel, MS Word, Data Entry, SAP Preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and shipping and receiving processes.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Forklift operation
