Job Description

Omni Dallas Hotel is seeking an experienced Gift Shop & Coffee Shop Supervisor to join the Collections and Morsel's team. To maintain the highest standards of guest satisfaction by ensuring quick, efficient, and professional service across both the Gift Shop (Collections) and Morsels. Supports daily operations, supervises staff, and ensures seamless guest experience.



Responsibilities

    Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall supervision of both outlets
  • Support overall supervision of the departments as outlined in the job description.
  • Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
  • Order daily supplies for Morsels and Collections.
  • Communicate with retail buyers on a weekly basis to ensure the purchasing and replenishment process for the retail shop is seamless and timely.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, monitoring par levels, and reporting discrepancies to management in a timely manner.
  • Lead pre-shift/pre-meal meetings to communicate goals, updates, and service expectations.
  • Follow up on established training steps; provide ongoing development to team members.
  • Handle guest comments, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Observe, teach, coach, and correct staff performance to maintain high service standards.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, adapting to business needs.
  • Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Assist with monthly inventory for both retail and coffee shop operations; maintain a balanced cash bank.
  • Verify guest room numbers and assist with room charge transactions.
  • Interact professionally with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Adhere to proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Demonstrate proper knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures.
  • Ensure all merchandise, inventory, and equipment remain secured at all times.
  • Utilize corporate software systems including Kronos WFC, OpenTable, Synergy, and YellowDog.
  • Answer guest questions, provide product knowledge, and give recommendations.
  • Perform up-selling and suggestive selling of beverages, merchandise, and retail items.
  • Accurately process transactions and maintain a balanced and secure cash drawer.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a coffee, food service and or retail environment preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in Food and Beverage Supervision or Management role preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of cash handling and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Understanding of Food and Beverage financials including cost and par controls is preferred.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail as well as strong customer service skills.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to all liquor liability laws.
  • Must know emergency procedures and work to prevent accidents.
  • Must have State Alcohol and Food Handlers Certification.
