As an NDT Inspector, you'll perform accurately and in compliance with the industry standards and regulations while being familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used.

What you'll do:

  • Set up and calibrate non-destructing testing equipment in accordance with the industry requirements.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Organize and report test results.
  • May train others as needed.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Experience with FPI method.
  • Previous experience adhering to quality inspections.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, pull, reach and handle.
  • Visual acuity and color vision.
  • Ability to move, carry, lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work extended hours and stand for extended periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education & Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. ASNT NDT Certification or equivalent certifiable training with documented classroom and/or OJT experience.

  • Technical & Mechanical Skills: Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT inspections, accurately interpret results, and apply strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Communication & Professionalism: Communicates clearly and effectively in verbal and written form; conducts themselves professionally and remains open to others' ideas and feedback.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, promotes quality standards, provides feedback, and actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability & Work Management: Able to absorb and process information quickly, prioritize and plan work activities, adapt to changing schedules, and adjust to a dynamic work environment.
  • Work Environment & Safety Awareness: Comfortable working in hot and cold climates and in or around industrial environments and potential hazards while adhering to company policies, procedures, and organizational values. Ability to work in a safe manner.
