Position Summary

The Material Handler I supports basic material handling tasks to keep production running smoothly. This entry-level role focuses on moving, packaging, and organizing materials safely and accurately.

Material Movement:

• Move materials between storage and production areas using carts or pallet jacks.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials safely.

Shipping & Receiving:

• Help verify incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Package and label goods following company guidelines.

Inventory Support:

• Maintain simple inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Keep work areas organized and materials properly stored.

Equipment Operation:

• Operate basic material handling tools (hand trucks, pallet jacks) safely.

Qualifications & Competencies

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No prior experience required; training provided.

Skills:

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Basic understanding of inventory and shipping processes (training provided).

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift.
