Job Description

Shift: Afternoon
Shift Premium Amount: $2.00
Pay Rate: $20.50



The primary function of the Quality Control Technician position is ensuring that all products released from the Ashland site meet defined customer requirements. Working as a member of the production team to maintain the facility safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
* Accountable for ensuring that product testing is performed per the PQCT for specific bag type (i.e. Dairy, Barrier).
* Perform product testing as needed to ensure on-going quality.
* Accountable for comprehending specifications and PQCT.
* Ensure that quality product standards are upheld and that any suspect product is identified, held, and handled in accordance to established practices and communicating status to Shift Supervisor.
* Ensure appropriate adjustments are made by Operator.
* Verify correct raw materials are used per bag specifications.
* Relieve inspectors/packers for breaks.
* Participate in investigations and corrective actions for quality issues or customer complaints.
* Aid in product retesting/re-inspection on Holds and Returns.
* Complete all documentation completely and accurately.
* Assist in the training of other personnel in the quality department.
* Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Inspector/Packer training preferred.
Specific Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Equipment & Machinery: None required.
Computer Experience & Software: Basic computer skills, WMS knowledge preferred.



Work Environment
Manufacturing Plant. Climate Controlled.
