As a Security Guard - Armed Mall Security in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic retail location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service while upholding our values of reliability, innovation, and integrity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related risks.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activities.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established communication guidelines.
• Support Allied Universal leadership and client representatives by reporting security-related concerns and recommending improvements as observed during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a Level III armed certification if applying in Texas.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
