Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Specialist in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues within the healthcare setting.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities as required.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and visitor flow to help to deter unauthorized entry and support the operational needs of the healthcare location.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations and/or medical emergencies, while maintaining a professional and composed demeanor.
  • Document all incidents and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols, maintaining accurate and timely records.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
