Make a positive difference in patient's lives as a Navigation Coordinator with our Patient Navigation & Business Services department. As our Navigation Coordinator, you will serve as first point of contact and facilitate access to care for patients who seek medical care from UCLA Health by processing inquiries and converting them to patients for UCLA Health. This involves but not limited to obtaining required demographic information, insurance information and medical reports, as needed. You will register patients in Care Connect and Salesforce, the department's online CRM, schedule patients' medical appointments, organize and upload medical records to Epic via ICAP and coordinate pre-arrival and first day arrangements for patients and visitors from various regions of the world who are interested in seeking medical care at UCLA. In this role, you will also support Case Managers and Patient Coordinators as requested, including scheduling initial and follow-up appointments, arranging for interpreters as needed, arranging for transportation as needed and scheduling referrals for additional services. You will be responsible for checking and triaging department emails and phone calls, helping to facilitate the review of patients' medical reports, and obtaining the medical opinion of physicians regarding possible treatment plans for patients.
