Who We Are We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open. The RoleUSTA Coaching, a rapidly growing division of the U.S. Tennis Association, is dedicated to shaping the future of coaching through innovative education, strategic partnerships, and dynamic events. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple teams while supporting key national initiatives. You will leave the program with meaningful connections, practical experience in brand building, and a strong understanding of how a national sports organization operates, positioning you for a wide range of future career pathways. As USTA Coaching continues to expand its events, business operations, education programs, membership initiatives, and coach engagement strategies, you will become an integral part of this exciting period of growth.
    Support planning, logistics, and execution of major coaching and education initiatives
  • Assist with partnership tracking, deliverables, and ongoing communications
  • Contribute to content development, including video shoots, editing support, and translation projects
  • Help create presentation decks and internal materials for cross-team updates
  • Manage independent projects from concept through completion
Program details:
  • 8-week program from June 9 through August 11
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursaday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM ET
  • Hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site at our Orlando office.
  • Compensation: $16.00 per hour
Who You Are
  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Creative, resourceful, and eager to contribute ideas
  • Collaborative and comfortable working across teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to take initiative on independent assignments
  • Interested in sports, coaching, education, event management, or brand development
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office; familiarity with presentation or content tools (e.g., Canva, PowerPoint, basic video editing) is a plus
  • Enthusiastic about learning and contributing to a growing division with national impact
What the Program OffersAs an intern, you will fully immerse into the USTA culture and be a true part of the team! During the program you will have the opportunity to network with Senior Leadership- including the CEO- as well as be mentored by current staff. Additionally, you can look forward to:

  • Participation in a group project which will be presented to staff at the end of the program.
