Sewer Plant Technician

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP SEWER & WATER AUTHORITY

HELP WANTED: Sewer Plant Technician. Candidate must be willing to apply for Operator Certification.

Work consists of Sampling and Record keeping of Sewage Pump Station.

Irrigation System: record rainfall daily during spraying season, record spray volume daily during spraying season, record storage pond level daily, and record spray zone applied.

Permit Testing: DEP sampling requirements.

Effluent: record daily flow when spraying, CBOD -1-month grab when spraying, TSS 1 month grab when spraying, Fecal coliform – 1 month grab when spraying

Lagoon Underdrain, Fecal coliform 1 month grab

Irrigation Monitoring Wells: collect samples from three monitoring wells.

Pump Station: check operation daily, connect portable pump during loss of power. Respond to alarms.

Treatment Plant: Spraying is from May through October. Observe piping for damage or signs of leakage.
