Summary: To provide design and estimation support for various DAS product offerings.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and estimation of RF systems, including but not limited to DAS, In-building Cellular, Public Safety systems
  • Work closely with all business unit teams to ensure the team is delivering quality, innovative, and custom communication solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Coordination of design and estimation with internal team and external customers, vendors, and manufacturers
  • Work closely with Project Management team on projects awarded specifically in the technical and design alteration areas
  • Provide technical system consultation services to clients on their existing systems and implement resulting change activity as needed. Collaborate with key customers, team members and other experts to ensure client expectations are met with technology solutions that fall within a strategic business/technology framework and defined technology standards. If new standards are required, then agreement is gained to create new standards
  • Assist business development and management teams with RF initiatives and projects as assigned
  • Evaluate industry trends, potential customers, forecast sales and standard product requirements
  • Initiates projects, including identifying and analyzing preliminary needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates and defining the project scope and objectives
  • Create and review Engineering designs, drawings and project specifications to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Utilize current industry software, including but not limited to iBwave, Accubid, CAD, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Skills/Experience

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5+ years in the RF and DAS industry with 2+ years in RF design experience
  • Knowledge of RF Technologies, DAS, Public Safety, Two Way Radio hardware and software with regards to configurations
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal, written and listening
  • Capable of managing more than one project at any given time
  • Solid attention to detail with good follow-through
  • Must be action/results oriented, hands-on, self-motivated and organized
  • Occasional travel to projects - Ability to navigate through construction sites and large multi-building campuses
  • Ability to read and understand floor plans
  • Ability to drive throughout the state of WI supporting all company branches

Preferred

  • iBwave level 1 in progress or certification preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Perform "desk duties" such as sitting, typing, writing, filing, and speaking on the telephone
  • Perform computer work utilizing monitor, mouse, and keyboard
  • Walk through construction sites and large multi-building campuses
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
