JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a part-time technical service animal attendant for the Zebrafish Functional Genomics Core at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. The candidate must be able to work in independently but in collaborative environment. Hours are flexible but do include several weekdays (morning and/or afternoon) and weekends on a rotation schedule, but not to exceed 20 hours per week.

Zebrafish care duties include feeding, harvesting brine shrimp to feed the zebrafish that are housed in recirculating aquaria, cleaning aquarium and maintaining the systems. Must be able to communicate well with others, follow specific directions, work independently.. Must be willing to go through a short training period and work in a warm and humid environment. All are encouraged to apply, including retirees and graduate students. No experience required.
