Lafayette Group is seeking experienced professionals to provide advanced consulting support for federal cybersecurity programs. The Cybersecurity Analytics Developer supports data-informed decision-making across the client enterprise. This role provides thought-leadership, technical support, and data analytics services across a broad portfolio of cybersecurity and risk management programs. This position is ideal for candidates with a blend of experience in cybersecurity, large data set analysis and data science, combined with strong consulting skills. Daily responsibilities may include: developing and refining requirements for data collection and analysis, conducting and presenting data analysis, translating datasets into actionable insights for stakeholders, and working with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data needs.

Job Responsibilities
- Leverage analytical skills and python, SQL, Apache Spark knowledge to query and optimize data pipelines
- Query and integrate structured and unstructured datasets (PostgreSQL, Python: Pandas, NumPy) to ensure data integrity and uncover actionable insights.
- Provide thought-leadership and analysis on the effectiveness of cyber risk campaigns across partner engagements; align with clients' goals and emerging data sources.
- Analyze and manage diverse cybersecurity and risk data sets to improve federal and national risk insights; understand how partner organizations receive and use information from the client to drive down cyber risk.
- Correlate multiple data sets to generate cyber incident context, products, and discussion points for stakeholders; support communication of complex data to a variety of stakeholders, tailored to the audience.
- Develop and deliver high-quality products (e.g., reports, briefings, demos, presentations) for data projects, tailored to stakeholder audience.
- Provide reports that organize data analysis in a consumable format for stakeholders, including interactive data visualizations and infographics.
- Provide advice and guidance on data analysis, processing, and data cleansing activities using innovative tools and approaches to organize qualitative and quantitative data for analysis.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Masters' degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
- 6+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or similar roles.
- Experience using business intelligence, decision science, data analysis tools, and machine learning, using a variety of techniques and approaches to visualize and turn data into actionable insight.
- Experience generating data products and reports that organize data analysis in a consumable format for a broad range of stakeholders, including interactive data visualizations and infographics.
- Ability to build relationships and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internal and on the client site; experience briefing senior leadership.
- Possession of excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to remain open-minded, flexible and curious in problem-solving approach; ability to think conceptually and strategically.
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to elicit and shape work requirements based on an understanding of higher-level objectives.
- Ability to provide thought leadership and influence through consultative, analytical, and technical planning skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently while maintaining excellent communication with project leadership.
- Active TS security clearance and SCI eligibility; US citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability (EOD).
Desired Skills
- Prior consulting or program support experience with DHS, CISA, or other federal cybersecurity organizations.
- Experience with AI tools, technologies, and frameworks like Sagemaker, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Glue, Databricks, Elasticsearch, Azure AI, Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter Notebook. Must be able to articulate proper uses, pros, cons, and lessons learned.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or implementation experience in data science, for example, natural language processing, machine learning, Bayesian thinking, or advanced mathematics.
- Knowledge and experience providing cyber risk reporting and insights following FISMA reporting requirements (Cyberscope & Cyberstat).
- Experience supporting engagement or partnership programs in government, critical infrastructure, or cybersecurity-adjacent environments.
- Experience with federal compliance requirements and cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Risk Management Framework (RMF), with knowledge of government procurement processes and federal regulatory requirements.
Location: Arlington, VA; on-site 3-5 days per week
Salary Range: $80,000-$130,000

New employees are not usually hired at the top of the estimated salary range and salary decisions depend on the circumstances and factors for each case. Salary is only one aspect of LGI's generous total compensation package.
Federal Contracts: This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Contingent Hire: This position will be hired contingent upon winning the Federal contract work.
