Be a strategic change agent to lead the formulation and execution of important plans to help grow an area by process improvement and development. Partner with the business and outside vendors to provide expertise in ensuring that main development milestones are achieved. Develop solutions and works with divisional and technology leaders to implement preferred solutions. Represent division needs in governing and improving existing technology platforms, and partners in researching and procuring new technology.

You will report to a Senior Manager, Legal Operations.

In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from the office. You should reside within approximately 50 miles of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.

Position Compensation Range:

$99,000.00 - $167,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Work will include strategy development and execution, matching work process to technological capabilities, and process improvement.
  • Analyze data on current state of operational performance; including internal and external benchmarks and baselines, unit costs, and critical customer requirements to shape operational strategy and to implement improvement opportunities and approach.
  • Provide recommendations to executives in formulating operational strategy and tactical plans, taking into consideration technology, operational capabilities, regulatory issues, and other business considerations.
  • Oversee programs for continuous improvement related to necessary operational strategies and programs.
  • Participate in the transfer of knowledge of methodologies and best practices to peers and colleagues through collaboration, mentoring, and formal presentation and consulting.
  • Interpret internal or external business issues and recommend solutions and best practices.
  • Represent Legal team needs in governing and improving existing technology platforms, and partners in researching and procuring new technology.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of P&C insurance operations and management.
  • Demonstrated experience consulting to executives level leaders on strategic direction setting and decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and accomplish goals across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clear and effective communication with all levels of leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze data and present clear recommendations based on result.
  • Lead technology acquisition projects and proofs of concept for the division; identify and prioritize use cases and business requirements, and advise Sourcing on best possible solutions.
  • Meet with and shadows decision-makers to understand critical inputs, steps, and decisions in business processes; inform leadership of automation potential and process issues/opportunities.
  • Perform internal and external benchmarking of technology best practices to optimize operational processes.
