Summary Respiratory TherapistPRN- Second Shift BHCOR-Lab I Corbin, KY Cardiopulmonary Services & Neurodiagnostic-(Respiratory)-The scope of the diagnostic and therapeutic services provided by the Cardiopulmonary & Neurodiagnostic Department will include Respiratory Care Therapies, EKG, Holter Monitor Services, and EEG Studies. The certified respiratory therapist assesses, treats, and monitors patients with respiratory diseases and conditions. This includes the delivery of medicated and non-medicated therapy as ordered by the provider. Additionally, therapists provide invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilator support for acute respiratory failure. As part of patient assessment and management, the therapist performs diagnostic test procedures. In addition, therapist assists in departmental operations by addicting with quality improvement projects, equipment, and supplies. The certified therapist follows all applicable rules and regulations established by the licensure board depending on the state in which respiratory therapy is practiced. Requirements: Mandatory certification in respiratory therapy (Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care) or respiratory license (Indiana Professional Licensing Agency) appropriate for facility location Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care Must obtain Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 6 months (therapists working with the neonatal population) Basic Life Support isrequired. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation. Benefits: PRN (As Needed)
