Position Summary The Department of Epidemiology at the Mailman School of Public Health is seeking a
Variable Hours Officer to support Dr. Jasmine McDonald's research team. The selected
candidate will contribute to grant development, manuscript preparation, and programmatic
activities spanning Dr. McDonald's research portfolio including environmental exposures
and breast cancer risk across windows of susceptibility and her research training and
education portfolio. This work includes collaborations with internal and external
investigators, grants administration, and trainees at multiple levels. Responsibilities Grant Development (80%)
* Assist in the development, preparation, and submission of grant applications, including R01, PCORI, P50 renewal, and other federal or foundation mechanisms.
* Assist with drafting, editing, and formatting required grant sections and supporting documents.
* Assist in collecting needed materials and working with grants staff and collaborators to meet submission requirements.
* Maintain timelines and deliverables for multiple simultaneous submissions, ensuring documents are completed and submitted by internal and sponsor deadlines.
Research & Manuscript Support (20%)
* Assist with manuscript development, including literature reviews, drafting sections, editing, formatting, and preparing files for journal submission.
* Assist with organizing data, maintaining documentation, and supporting evaluation activities for training programs.
* Communicate and coordinate with team members, collaborators, and trainees to support project workflow and ensure timely progress.
* Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested. Minimum Qualifications
