TRC Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Research Assistant in the Child and Family Translational Research Center (TRC) at Boys Town National Research Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to work within a service setting, where in partnership with practitioners, we conduct program development, evaluation, and implementation research for interventions across the continuum of care. Successful applicants will have extensive opportunities to assist with the implementation of evaluation and research projects. This may require using standardized techniques, conducting and reporting of routine data for practitioners, data analyses, and co-authoring manuscripts for publication. The TRC is a highly unique research center embedded within Boys Town, a national service organization, that provides uncommon opportunities for involvement in applied research that directly impacts and improves services. The TRC conducts research on child development and family functioning, tests the efficacy/effectiveness of interventions, and translates findings into practice both within and outside of Boys Town. Standard Job Description Summary Works on various phases of human or animal research studies, including data entry and analysis, equipment calibration, preparation of materials and solutions, ordering of supplies, and scheduling of experiments. Recruits human subjects for study activities when applicable. Duties will vary widely depending on the type of laboratory assigned and research being performed. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
