Program Manager

This position is responsible for managing customer-facing program(s) of various size and complexity. The incumbent will direct cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams in the successful execution and timely completion of all assigned responsibilities. This position collaborates internally and externally with other project and program management personnel, contractors and stakeholders to configure, train and deploy software solutions.
Telligen will hire at the entry level or senior level of this role based on experience.

Essential Functions
  • You will develop and administer comprehensive governance plans, detailed implementation plans, and sound training and execution strategies according to Company and customer standards.
  • You will collaborate with workstreams, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate and align sub-projects and external projects to overall project plans.
  • You will build and maintain highly effective relationships at all levels and manages customer's expectations for all program and related projects and works with the customer to turn ideas into future services opportunities.
  • You will lead and perform implementation tasks to ensure performance targets, levels and metrics (timeline, budget, quality and cost) are effectively monitored and reached.
  • You will track and oversee the resolution of issues by the project team and escalates up stream as prescribed by policies, project charters and governance plans.
  • You will manage the scope and drive delivery to ensure deliverables, work products and expected benefits are produced in an accurate and timely manner (meet all contract requirements).
  • You will prepare and deliver program and project related performance data, information and status reports to executives, management, technical and non-technical team members in various mediums.
  • You will develop and maintain workflow diagrams and other documentation used to optimize team performance, improve systems and implement new clients, collaborates with the program team and stakeholders to determine adjustments and/or remedial actions for identified system workflow gaps.
  • You will participate in quality improvement initiatives with an emphasis on workflow optimization to ensure programs and related projects are meeting high-quality standards.
  • You will implement, maintain and optimize the repositories ensuring all files, documents and artifacts are updated timely and accurately, and stored in accordance with archiving and retention policies.
  • You will provide input regarding project management related processes, qualifications and competencies for new business development and capture. May contribute to writing and reviewing content for bids and proposals.
  • You will perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Experience with government healthcare or commercial health sector preferred.
  • Four-year degree in a relevant field and/or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Experience with workflow optimization, driving teams through strategies and change, using diplomacy to achieve successful resolution.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS SharePoint, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Project Server preferred.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Teams and other project management tools.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) designation and/or demonstrated completion of project management training program preferred. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Experience with Capability Management Model Integration for Services (CMMI-SVC), Kanban, Agile and/or Lean methodologies preferred.
  • Up to 75% local travel. Limited overnight travel.
  • Because of the nature and immediacy of the work, the ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance is essential.
  • Positions working on specific contracts may require U.S. Citizenship.
Entry-level Requirements:
  • Demonstrated 1-3 years' experience planning and leading visible customer-facing programs and projects involving distributed, multidisciplined teams.
Advanced-level Requirements:
  • Demonstrated 3-5 years' experience planning and leading visible customer-facing programs and projects involving distributed, multidisciplined teams.
  • Experienced Change Agent Advocate for implementing new systems and features.
  • Actively participates and leads system demonstrations for new clients and new features and functionality
