Responsibilities

The Director of Nursing is a professional Registered Nurse with twenty-four hour responsibility for assigned departments within established standards to achieve the mission and vision of BSA. They are responsible for the overall administrative, financial and clinical activities of the department which includes:

  • Directing and coordinating all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
  • Collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
  • Contributing to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Licensed as Registered Nurse in Texas
  • BSN or actively enrolled/pursuing BSN, must complete in 24 months
  • Basic Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated nursing leadership experience in an acute care setting
