Summary
Responsible for overseeing the daily operations, clinical quality, and strategic growth of assigned behavioral health programs. The Behavioral Health Program Leader ensures delivery of high-quality, person-centered services aligned with regulatory standards and organizational goals. This role provides leadership to interdisciplinary teams, supports staff development, and advances initiatives that address the mental health and psychosocial needs of diverse patient populations.

Essential Functions
-Lead the operational and clinical performance of behavioral health programs, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and compliance standards.

-Supervise licensed and non-licensed clinical staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.

-Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support integrated care and coordinated services.

-Develop and monitor program budgets, staffing models, and productivity benchmarks.

-Analyze outcome data to drive quality improvement and ensure program effectiveness.

-Ensure timely documentation, treatment planning, and regulatory reporting as required.

-Participate in strategic planning to expand access, enhance service delivery, and meet community needs.

-Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts to build a high-performing team.

-Promote trauma-informed, culturally competent, and recovery-oriented care practices.

Education
Master's Degree Social Work required or Master's Degree Psychology required or Master's Degree Counseling required or Master's Degree Related Field of Study required

Licenses and Credentials
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker [LICSW - State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Licensed Mental Health Counselor [LMHC - State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred

Experience
Clinical experience in behavioral health, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or program management role 5-7 years required and Experience in community mental health, integrated care, or specialized populations (e.g., youth, substance use, crisis services) 3-5 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of behavioral health systems, clinical interventions, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage programs and staff effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams and with clients.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records and analyzing program data.
- Commitment to equity, client advocacy, and person-centered care.
