JOB TYPEClassification: Non Exempt Supervises Positions: JOB SUMMARYThe pharmacist serves as part of the healthcare team by supporting authentic personalized relationships with patients and their chosen support system, collaborating with team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health. The pharmacist accepts responsibility, authority, accountability and ownership for management and provision of care in accordance with current policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONSEducation: 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree required ndash; Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) Certification. Experience: 1 year of experience required - Postgraduate year 1 residency or fellowship OR a minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered pharmacist in health system pharmacy. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Current Pharmacist licensure in the state of Virginia completed within 30 days of start date by either examination or reciprocity. Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certification or other applicable certification must be obtained and continuously maintained within 2 years of start date as applicable to the role required; excludes PRN team members who may not be eligible to take certification exam. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider ACLS certification - within six months of hire required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Other duties as outlined in UVA Health Northern Virginia Culpeper and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed. Ability to work as part of a high performing, change ready and resilient team. PHYSICAL DEMANDSPhysical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand: The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
