What your day might look like:

  • Working with the Planning Team you will work to enhance existing digital planning tools, reports and programs to improve performance for the team.
  • Fleet Optimization: Maintain and enhance existing route optimization tools, analyze tank capacity predictions, and support transportation operating model analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop digital solutions to integrate data from multiple platforms (SAP, ERP, CRM, ELD systems, and production databases) and create models for operational optimization
  • Data Integration: Create automated reporting systems connecting logistics and production data to support strategic decision-making
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for waste reduction, cost optimization, and process improvement for logistics operations
  • Work closely with planning team to understand chemical processes and translate into optimization algorithms and predictive models
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure transition of analytical tools into enterprise solution

Qualifications

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Supply chain/Logistics
  • Programming knowledge and background in Computer Science overall
  • MRP experience and knowledge in ERP system software (preferably SAP)
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations
  • Familiarity with Google APIs and mapping technologies
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and fleet management (desired but not required)
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems through data gathering and analytics
  • Strong planning, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Prior chemical plant experience (mixing, blending, reactor operations preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work remotely
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Result oriented mind
  • Project work experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Information

Compensation:

The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $21-24/hr.
