ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is seeking a Senior Manager, Solar Solutions to join our Solar team. This position is remote with frequent travel (approximately 50%) including overnight travel.

The Senior Manager, Solar Solutions primary purpose is to strategically lead, manage, and optimize all aspects of the Solar Solutions business unit, driving compliance with ESG standards. This Manager is responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of all solar projects, specifically overseeing the engineering, procurement, and installation phases. They are crucial in leading the cross-functional project teams to ensure high performance, efficiency, and guarantee all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Ultimately, this role is accountable for driving the business unit's financial success by ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meeting defined profit and financial goals.

The essential functions of the position include:



  • Lead, manage, and optimize all facets of the Solar Solutions business unit to ensure efficiency, operational excellence, and adherence to company objectives and ESG standards
  • Oversee the complete project life cycle, including all engineering, procurement, and installation activities, ensuring projects are developed and executed to the highest standards of quality and safety
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to cross-functional project teams, drive performance, maximize productivity, and foster a collaborative, high-efficient work environment
  • Ensure the business unit and individual projects meet critical financial targets, including defined profit goals, and are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Build strategies for optimizing risk management of portfolio while increasing profitability for ESG
  • Build a sustainable team with talent diversity in which there are career paths for engineers, managers and executive management.
  • Be a leader in industry events; conferences, summits, expos, advocating ESG as a market leader
  • Be a change agent - influence, consult, advocate and lead efforts for sharing and standardizing best practices, processes and critical thinking
  • Directs the organization in developing and maintaining competitively advantaged "Best Practices"; analyses, current competitive information and profiles, and effective presentations and proposals
  • Actively lead external stakeholders in Performance Contracting industry to implement new strategies and methodologies
  • Ensures that team remains current on engineering standards and practices and emerging energy technologies. Provides team with industry knowledge and leverages best practices


Your background includes:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field
  • 10 Years of experience in Engineering Management, Operations &/or Energy Management fields managing technical team(s)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the standard performance contracting tools, processes, and measurement & verification protocols.
