Security Officer - Experience Required

As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Patrol in Newell, WV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter of the chemical or petrochemical location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential hazards within the facility.
• Collaborate with site personnel and visitors to address questions and/or concerns related to access and security-related protocols.
• Document all activities, incidents, and/or irregularities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Remain alert to changing environmental conditions and adapt patrol routes as needed to support the security-related needs of the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
