This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Although we're an apparel and footwear-focused company, technology is central to everything we do. CSC Digital Technology (CDT) teams enable technology infrastructure across four global brands, an e-commerce platform, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. These teams support in-store, mobile, e-commerce, data, and supply chain platforms to enhance customer experience and service in an ever-evolving industry.

The Sr. Quality Engineer uses solid knowledge and experience of software engineering in the areas of Cloud Automation, Continuous Integration (CI) & Continuous Delivery (CD), scripting and development languages to take an active role in designing and implementing Automation solutions independently. This role uses understanding of command line interface (CLI), OS interfaces, environments, scripting and development languages, to take a more active role in facilitating software projects, releases, processes and tools. This position requires keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and mature communication skills in a collaborative environment across our enterprise.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Design, maintain and execute automated test cases for GUI, functional, API, performance and end-to-end tests of eCommerce sites across form factors.
  • Partner within the engineering team to build out continuous integration environments and test harnesses for cross-browser/cross-operating system testing framework.
  • Develop and run test scenarios and test scripts and perform functional testing of code changes and production updates across various browsers for all websites.
  • Develop test automation strategies and implement scripts using Playwright
  • Ability to mentor analysts and engineering team on benefits of testing methodologies and QA rigor.
  • Ensure comprehensive end-to-end coverage of automated regression test suites.
  • Evangelize modern Quality and DevOps practice by embedding with and building automated solutions with teams throughout Enterprise.
  • Provides peer-level technical guidance for team members. Helps more junior team members learn, grow and contribute to the team.

YOU ARE

  • Well-versed in browsers, operating systems, and mobile form factors.
  • Knowledgeable in web programming skills (JavaScript, CSS, XML, JSON).
  • Able to work collaboratively within cross-functional and distributed teams based on strong team spirit, solid work ethic, and good communication skills.

YOUHAVE

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Informatics, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Quality engineering experience with web environments.
  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript, CSS, HTML.
  • Ability to write robust test automation using playwright (JavaScript) framework.
  • 2+ years' experience working with continuous integration servers such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions.
  • Proven experience planning, developing or collaborating on test automation frameworks and test suites.
  • Experience with Git, Git Flow, pull requests, and other DVCS concepts.
