Assists in performing technical maintenance. The work requires the ability to learn and apply established methods, procedures, and techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Works independently by applying comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents
* Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments
* Responsible for determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes
* Exercises judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow
* Uses complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment
* Installs and troubleshoots military and commercial radios in Combat Vehicles, Tactical Vehicles and base stations |
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Must have 5 years applicable experience or completion of formal training and 3 years applicable experience
Physical Qualifications
* The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment and sometimes in the field where you are subject to the environment
* Must be capable of frequent squatting, crouching, standing, climbing, stooping, and sitting, sometimes for extended periods
* Must be able to ascend and descend equipment
* Must be able to visually distinguish colors
* Must have good manual dexterity
* Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted
* Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned

* Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent

Rate of Pay/Benefits
Hourly Rate: $49.22
