As a Security Guard - Government Building Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or access.
• Observe and report any irregularities, such as security breaches, property damage, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
• Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and public authorities as needed.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
• Remain visible and approachable while on patrol to provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and/or contractors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
