Hours & Pay

• Compensation: $28.00 - $30.82 per hour, depending on experience
• Schedule: Full-time, on-site
• Employment Type: Temp-to-hire with potential for long-term career growth

What You'll Do Each Day

Sanitation Operations

• Plan, schedule, and supervise daily, weekly, and periodic sanitation activities across manufacturing rooms, packaging areas, equipment, utensils, and common areas
• Ensure proper execution of cleaning, sanitizing, and verification activities in accordance with approved SOPs and Master Sanitation Schedules
• Verify correct use, storage, and dilution of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
• Oversee line clearance, pre-operational inspections, and post-sanitation release activities
• Maintain and manage the approved chemical list

cGMP & Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure sanitation practices comply with 21 CFR Part 111, FDA guidance, and internal quality standards
• Maintain accurate sanitation logs, verification records, and documentation
• Support internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections
• Participate in sanitation-related investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions

Team Leadership & Training

• Supervise, train, and coach sanitation staff on cleaning procedures, chemical safety, PPE use, and cGMP requirements
• Conduct onboarding and recurring training sessions
• Monitor performance, accountability, and adherence to sanitation and safety standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate sanitation activities with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to minimize downtime
• Partner with Quality to validate cleaning procedures, including allergen and cross-contact controls
• Support special cleaning needs for new products, changeovers, and high-risk production runs

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve sanitation efficiency, effectiveness, and documentation
• Assist in evaluating new sanitation chemicals, tools, and methodologies

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of sanitation experience in dietary supplement, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• 1-2 years of supervisory or lead experience
• Working knowledge of cGMPs, sanitation SOPs, and Master Sanitation Schedules
• Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform active physical work including standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with allergen control programs and environmental monitoring
• Experience supporting FDA inspections and third-party audits
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills
