Interventional Pulmonologist

FACULTY POSITION IN INTERVENTIONAL PULMONOLOGY,

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SAN FRANCISCO

The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pulmonologist for faculty positions as an Interventional Pulmonologist in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, Allergy and Sleep Medicine. The candidate must have completed training in an Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship Program by July 1, 2026 and is expected to have met the requirements for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at UCSF. The candidate will join 4 other full time interventional pulmonologists who have overseen the establishment and growth of the current IP program. A candidate with an interest in lung cancer screening and lung nodule tracking is desired. In addition, the successful candidate will have opportunities to be involved in teaching and training fellows, residents, and medical students, thus teaching experience is desirable.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $131,200-$344,400. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

For positions that are 50% effort or less:

See Table 2 for the salary range for this position. A reasonable estimate for this position is $93,700-$246,000.
