American Industrial Transport, Inc. is a privately-owned company based in St. Charles Missouri, providing railcar leasing and repair services to the companies that move the essential assets that power the North American economy.

Job Summary & Core Responsibilities:

The Risk Management Intern will support the Risk team through project-based and day-to-day analytical work supporting lease portfolio surveillance and customer transaction review. This role is ideal for a student interested in credit risk, corporate finance, and portfolio analysis who wants hands-on exposure to how risk decisions are evaluated in a corporate environment.

  • Perform Lessee Risk Ratings and support lease portfolio surveillance activities
  • Assist with transaction review for lease and repair customer engagements
  • Conduct research, financial review, and related data analysis supporting risk assessments
  • Support ongoing and ad-hoc risk projects designed to improve team efficiency and process consistency
  • Provide day-to-day analytical and administrative support to the Risk team as needed

Required Experience / Skills / Qualifications / Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in credit risk, corporate finance, or financial analytics
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
