Production Planner I

Estimated annual base pay: $62,000 (minimum) - $80,000 (midpoint) - $99,000 (maximum)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure that manufacturing processes are completed on time and meet customer demand.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials / semi-finished / finished goods to prevent shortages or excesses.
  • Coordination with Departments: Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to align production activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Monitoring Production Progress: Track and analyze production planning performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate reports and documentation related to production plans, schedules, and inventory status.

Key Skills:

  • Production Scheduling: Identify and escalate constraints impacting the production schedule to reduce the impact to production and customers.
  • Inventory Management: Proficient in maintaining optimal inventory levels to ensure smooth production processes without overstocking or shortages.
  • Production Scheduling: Skilled in creating and adjusting production schedules to meet deadlines and efficiently utilize resources.
  • ERP Software Proficiency: Experienced in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to manage and track production activities and data.
  • Communication Skills: Capable of effectively communicating with various departments, including manufacturing, sales, and supply chain, to coordinate planning efforts.
  • Problem Solving: Adept at identifying potential issues in the production process and developing solutions to mitigate risks and maintain workflow.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in monitoring production plans and data to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Time Management: Efficient in prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet production deadlines and organizational goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze production metrics and performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in planning processes.
  • Team Collaboration: Experienced in working collaboratively with cross functional teams to achieve common production and business objectives.
