The healthcare landscape is rapidly changing. The Associate Software Engineer will work to deliver on projects. This person will work in a fast-paced environment where the collective team emphasis is to generate market driven solutions that work. The successful candidate will be required to collaborate effectively with developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, and other internal stakeholders. We develop highly innovative customer-facing applications in healthcare analytics to generate performance, improvement opportunities, and value for our clients.



Responsibilities

    Work within the team developing and supporting analytics systems with patent pending technology and applications to support our in-house audit partners.
  • Design and implement new solutions.
  • Learn new technologies and apply them to the problem space.
  • Peer review software changes by other developers.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team on development.
  • Document the specifications, design, features, and operation of applications prior to production rollout.
  • Work collaboratively with business partners to define and ensure the completeness and accuracy of system/technical requirements.
  • Achieve organizational and individual goals as identified in performance reviews and goal setting exercises.
  • Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-1 year of industry experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Foundational understanding of software engineering principles, design principles, performance, and applications that scale.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to execute project deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within estimated timelines.
  • Experience with SQL query optimization, stored procedures, and database triggers.
  • 0-1 years' experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • 0-1 years' experience with modern programming languages: TypeScript, Java, C#, or .NET Framework.
  • 0-1 years' experience with cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • 0-1 years' experience with relational databases: Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, SAFe framework experience preferred.
  • Experience analyzing and working with large datasets.

  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment.

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.

Pay Transparency:

Base compensation ranges from $75,000.00 to $95,000.00. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
