Our applications handle customer information, process documents, and facilitate communication through various channels (email, SMS, in-app notifications). As a Senior QA Engineer on the VFX Team, you'll safeguard the quality of our end-to-end delivery flow-central to all Tesla vehicle deliveries. Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to define testing strategies, deploy cutting-edge automation, and innovate with LLMs to maximize coverage and efficiency. You'll focus on backend services, APIs, and customer app, maintaining 99.99%+ uptime in a high-stakes environment.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop and execute advanced test suites
- Implement and execute test strategies on all supported platforms and languages to help improve overall quality and test code coverage
- Responsible for functional testing and automated testing
- Write backend integration tests and tests for RESTful APIs
- Develop frameworks and automated test cases using Selenium and Python
- Design and develop integration, regression, and stress tests using industry standard tools
- Collaborate with Engineers and Product Managers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases
- Define, implement, and maintain test plans, test specifications and test suites
- Provide technical leadership, driving and performing engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide critical programs
What You'll Bring
- Experience with one or more of the following: Python, Go, Typescript
- Experience with web and mobile app validation
- Strong understanding of test automation frameworks in one of Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Zephyr or similar
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL database queries for test validation
- Knowledge of log analysis using tools like Splunk for troubleshooting and monitoring
- Experience with API testing using Postman, or similar tools
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience in fintech, insurance, or high-scale systems is highly desirable

Expected Compensation
$108,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
