About the Department and/or College

In Marketing & Communications, we deliver high-quality communications that tell the story of Texas Tech in the most compelling way possible. As the Assistant Director of Graduate Enrollment Marketing, you will assist with targeted digital marketing initiatives designed to increase awareness, interest and applications for Texas Tech University's graduate programs. This position plans and executes paid digital campaigns that support graduate recruitment cycles, program launches, admissions deadlines, graduate events and overall Graduate School visibility. The role requires experience in developing, managing and optimizing multi-channel campaigns and use of Google Analytics to evaluate performance, track conversions, and refine strategy. This position operates under the supervision of the Senior Director of Marketing, exercising independent judgment while adhering to university policies, brand standards and enrollment marketing priorities.

Major/Essential Functions


  • Develop, launch, and assist with managing paid digital campaigns promoting graduate programs, events, deadlines and recruitment initiatives across platforms.
  • Optimize campaign performance by monitoring results, testing audiences and creative variations, and making data-informed adjustments to improve efficiency and conversion outcomes.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance using Google Analytics and platform dashboards, providing insights that inform strategy and support enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate with internal partners, including the Graduate School, academic programs and marketing staff, to align campaign planning with recruitment and enrollment priorities.
  • Work with designers and content producers to build compelling, audience-specific creative assets that support campaign objectives and align with brand standards.
  • Manage and allocate paid media budgets to ensure efficient use of marketing resources and effective pacing across platforms.
  • Ensure all campaigns follow advertising guidelines, accessibility standards and university brand requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to monitor and report on digital campaign performance.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Knowledge of digital advertising best practices, including audience targeting, creative testing and budget tracking.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal teams, support campaign initiatives, and communicate results to supervisors and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience executing and optimizing paid digital campaigns across platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality, accurate work.
  • Experience with additional analytics or CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of higher education enrollment trends and graduate recruitment strategies.
