Your Job

KBX Logistics is looking for a Logistics Team Leader to join our team in Green Bay, WI. The successful candidate will have ability to lead people and work, have experience in transportation operations, knowledge of the transportation industry, and have a good understanding of laws and regulations within the industry.

Our Team

As a leader, you will support Consumer Product Goods in the Managed Freight Group. The region is based on the East coast and parts of the Midwest with a variety of Mills, Plants, Regional Distribution Centers, and Outside Business.

What You Will Do

  • Manage and guide a group comprising of logistics professionals by cultivating connections that promote a collaborative atmosphere within the group and across other functional units.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and develop talent to handle transportation planning efficiently and effectively for outbound operations and dedicated fleet solutions.
  • Execute daily transportation plan to support business requirements; this includes meeting needs of facilities and establishing carrier metrics, i.e., carrier on time service %, load by time, Key drivers,
  • Execute on strategic projects within the business.
  • Work with all appropriate parties on problem resolution.
  • Monitor service and take corrective action to minimize or avoid failures
  • Partner with cross-functional groups to identify process gaps, facilitate problem-solving, and create or update standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Establish metrics and KPIs through organized approaches to meet key cost and service metrics and work with teammates to set goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our customers and carrier base.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience working in the Transportation/Logistics industry
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with customers and/or carriers
  • Experience using Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience dispatching or planning freight loads
  • Experience creating team metrics and individual KPIs
  • Experience managing or supervising individuals
  • Experience with transportation management information systems
