Description Wisconsin Early Childhood Association is a statewide, nonprofit association serving as a professional association whose members care for and educate Wisconsin's children, aged birth to eight. We are affiliated with the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Wisconsin Early Childhood Association works to build a foundation for a lifetime of learning for Wisconsin's young children by promoting excellence in early education programs, supporting professionalism in the early childhood workforce, and calling for greater investment in quality early child care. WECA's mission is to meet the professional needs of adults who nurture and teach Wisconsin's young children through a rich continuum of services. WECA's T.E.A.C.H program is looking for a full-time Career Development Counselor to join their team. This position provides career development guidance and case management in the form of academic, non-academic and career counseling. The CD Counselor elicits individual information pertaining to past experiences, future goals, learning styles, strengths, weaknesses, and resources as pertains to individual career development planning. In addition, the CD Counselor provides information about credit and non-credit opportunities, community colleges, traditional and atypical approaches to career development. This position also contributes to the development of CD materials and procedures. The CD Counselor works closely with the T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship Counselors and team. Living in the state of Wisconsin is required for this position. This is a hybrid position where you would work from your home office and occasionally be required to attend in person meetings. Experience working in the early childcare industry is required for this position. Spanish/English bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for this position.
