We are looking for a Front End Engineer to join our distributed product team. In this role, you will be responsible for building the "face" of our applications, ensuring a seamless, high-performance, and accessible experience for all users.

As a remote-first organization, we value clear communication, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate asynchronously. While this is a remote position, candidates must be able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) core hours to facilitate real-time collaboration with our product and design teams.

Core Responsibilities

  • UI/UX Implementation: Translate high-fidelity Figma designs and wireframes into clean, semantic, and responsive code.
  • Feature Development: Build and maintain scalable, reusable components using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Next.js).
  • Performance Optimization: Audit and improve web performance (Core Web Vitals) to ensure lightning-fast load times and smooth interactions.
  • API Integration: Collaborate with Backend Engineers to integrate RESTful or GraphQL APIs and manage application state effectively.
  • Accessibility (a11y): Ensure all features meet WCAG 2.2/3.0 compliance standards, making our platform inclusive for all users.
  • Code Quality: Participate in peer code reviews, write unit/integration tests (Jest, Cypress, or Playwright), and maintain technical documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to advocate for technical feasibility and user-centric solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in front-end development (Mid to Senior level).
  • Tech Stack: Mastery of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and CSS3 (Tailwind, SCSS, or Styled Components).
  • Frameworks: Proficiency in React 18/19 or Next.js.
  • Tooling: Experience with modern build tools (Vite, Webpack) and version control (Git).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for a remote environment.
  • Schedule: Ability to maintain a consistent 9-to-5 schedule within the EST time zone.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
  • Familiarity with Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Static Site Generation (SSG).
  • Prior experience working in a fully remote, Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Knowledge of mobile-first development and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55 to $75. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
