Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patient Observation Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Assist with controlling access to restricted areas within the healthcare location, verifying credentials as required.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or other urgent situations as directed by site procedures.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience are required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
