About the role:
- Mentor and lead a team of engineers in the execution of complex tasks supporting equipment qualification.
- Provide oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members.
- Develop technical training in critical product area(s).
- Provide support / manager input to PFP reviews.
- Ensuring contractual and Westinghouse quality program requirements are incorporated into project planning documents.
- Perform in-process software audits.
- Coordinate preparation for and support conduct of customer audits.
- Thid role will report to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and define technical challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution.
- Provide inputs to the IPC budget for Quality items.
- Encourage and rigor in the group's work, including offering peer check opportunities.
- Support manager in development of resources, including regular check-ins, review of TLDP progression, assignments for development, onboarding of new hires.
- Manage time, make data-based decisions, and communicate with management and WEC staff.
- Promote a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) and Westinghouse's strong Nuclear Safety Culture.
- Incorporate the use of industry, regulatory, or NRC/DOE/ASME codes, standards, and criteria.
- Participate on internal audit teams Leading internal audits Commenting on proposed Level 2 procedure revisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Technical degree)
- At least 6 years of Quality Assurance experience in the nuclear industry Knowledgeable with multiple ISO standards, ASME NQA-1, 10CFR50 App.B, 10CFR21 and other nuclear industry quality standards
- Make decisions and accomplish multiple tasks as assigned from supervisory project managers and mentors
Relocation is not available. We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices.
