JOB SUMMARY

As a Co-op, you will be part of the team from day one and given training and tasks that are important and impactful to our projects' success.

Success in this role depends on the Co-op's initiative and teamwork skills.A successful Co-opwillwork in a team environment to dimension and annotate CAD drawings for use in the field from drawings developed by designers and engineers that are consistent with the Revit standards set forth at McKenney's.

McKenney's has a long history of success in hiring Co-ops and supporting their evolution into industry leaders. Many of our current senior leaders began their journey in the Co-op program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize McKenney's drafting standards to create and edit shop drawingsinRevit.

  • Utilize McKenney's drafting standards to create and edit spool sheets for fabricationin Stratus.

  • Dimensionand annotate drawings developed by designers.

  • Draftredlineas-builtdrawings from projectmanagersandfield leadersin Revit.

  • Learnlayering techniques, pen weights, etc.requiredto produce a clearandlegible drawing.

  • Produceall documentsin Bluebeamin a timelymannerbased on job requirements to meet the commitments to our customers, both internal and external.

BASICQUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:

  • Currentlypursuingan Associate's orBachelor'sdegree in BIM, MechanicalEngineering, CivilEngineering, orarelateddegree.

  • Candidates must complete atleast two full-timealternatingCo-op rotations before graduation and should avoid a full courseload while working, which may delay graduation.

  • 1stRotation:Fall 2026

  • 2ndRotation:Summer 2027

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural documents.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and plumbing design and shop drawings.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to manage time effectively, contribute to team goals, and adapt to evolving project needs.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to learning.

  • Possess the ability to work well as part of a team and independently.

PREFERREDREQUIREMENTS

  • 6 months experience with Revit 2022 or higher.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTS

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment.

  • No or limited exposure to physical risk; occasional jobsite visitsmayrequire climbingpermanent and temporary stairs/ladders, passenger use of hoists,and navigatingactiveconstructionareas.

  • Light physical effort handling average weight objects up to50pounds may berequiredoccasionally.
