About Us
Krueger Bearings is a family-owned machine shop with over 55 years of experience delivering high-quality, precision-machined parts. Known for our babbitt-lined bearings and wide range of machining capabilities-including milling, turning, grinding, and broaching-we take pride in our craftsmanship, reliability, and investment in state-of-the-art equipment. We're looking for an experienced Manual Lathes operator for 1st shift. Hours can be flexible but typical hours are 7 am - 3 pm. We will accept full or part time.
This role is responsible for:
- Study blueprints, layouts/charts, and routings for information on specifications and tooling instructions, and to determine material requirements and operational sequences & specifications.
- Set up and operate a manual lathe to produce precision parts with tight tolerances.
- Ensure all components produced meet specifications using appropriate measuring equipment such as (Micrometers, Vernier, Height Gauges, Bore Gauges, etc.).
- Must be able to select suitable tools and inserts and cutters, according to written specifications and shop mathematics.
- Move controls to set cutting speeds and depths and feed rates, and to position tools in relation to work pieces.
Experience and Education
- High School diploma is required.
- Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, basic geometry, statistics and their applications.
- Prefer 3+ years of work experience as a manual lathe machinist.

- Standing 90% to 100% (set up and operate metal working machinery)
- Program Machinery 0% to 10%
- Sitting 0% to 10%
- Walking 5% to 15%
- Fine Hand Motor Skills 75% to 100%
- Lifting 10-20 lbs frequently; 21-50 lbs usually; 51+ lbs occasionally (lifting equipment available)
