PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The primary function of the desktop support position is the installation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of all desktops, laptops, printers, desktop software applications, and end user network connectivity.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES A VALID LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION. ALSO, MUST BE ABLE TO PASS 50 STATE DRUG AND CREDIT BACKGROUND CHECKS.

TEMPORARY POSITION 40 HOURS PER WEEK THRU APRIL 2026

PAY RANGE: $22 - $27/hour

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Work directly with employees supporting Windows based applications, and end user hardware.

* Imaging and preparing PC hardware/applications for end user deployment.

* Work with employees to deploy new PC systems and assist with the transition to new hardware.

* Troubleshoot and resolve problems with PC hardware, operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.

* Provide hands on and remote support for end user work requests and incidents.

* Assist in planning, installation, configuration, and upgrades of desktop hardware, OS, and applications.

* Provide response, support, and escalation as necessary to meet Service Level Agreement requirements.

* Maintain detailed documentation of each service call in an online tracking system.

* Work to maintain and build positive working relationships with all IT teams and business.

* Assist with hardware and software asset tracking, license management, and warranty tracking.

* Create and maintain documentation of IT procedures, systems, and problem resolutions.

* Assist various business lines, EUS team members, and other IT departments, with project support and system deployments as required.

* Follow up with end users to ensure problems are resolved successfully and satisfactorily.

* Other duties may be required and assigned by the supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge:

Strong Windows 10/11 operating system knowledge, and Microsoft (Office) 365 support experience.
Experience with troubleshooting computer hardware, printers, and Windows based applications.
Good working knowledge of networking, and Windows Active Directory.
Experience with tracking and resolving computer/printer vulnerabilities in an enterprise environment.
Experience with PC management tools such as Microsoft's Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), and Hewlett Packard's Web Jetadmin for printers is a plus.
Basic scripting skills in tools such as PowerShell a plus.

Abilities:

Excellent customer service skills, written and verbal communication abilities working with both technical and non-technical clients.
Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions
Ability to work well in a team environment sharing ideas and supporting co-workers.
Ability to perform responsibilities in a demanding fast paced environment.
Self-motivated, organized, trustworthy, and reliable.
Must be able to meet flexible work schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in the support, configuration, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows based hardware, operating systems, applications, printers, and technical infrastructure in a business environment.

* CompTIA A+ certification desired

* HP and Dell certifications desired

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* This job requires the ability to sit for long periods of time.

* This job requires occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and/or up to 30 pounds frequently.
