Overview

Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

TRC Companies, Inc., a pioneer in groundbreaking scientific and engineering services, is seeking an experienced full-time Project Manager to join our Permitting, Planning and Licensing team in Spokane, WA.


Responsibilities

The position requires a strong technical background and experience with stormwater management:

  • Leading a field team of environmental inspectors and natural resource specialists, directing placement of personnel, and answering technical questions.
  • Supporting client account leaders and program directors to assist in the management of major projects and portfolios of projects.
  • Supporting strategic planning and the development of new sector offerings in Washington based on the direction of senior management.
  • Work with program managers on strategic pursuits.
  • Coordinating with other project managers and upper management in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Attending meetings with clients as needed and following up on any assigned tasks.
  • Preparing reports and other technical documents.
  • Performing additional tasks as directed by upper management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, natural resources, or a related field, and 5 to 10 years of post-degree experience.
  • Applicants must have experience managing stormwater, including permit application and installation/maintenance of best management practices (BMPs).
  • This position requires certification or the ability to get certified under the State of Washington Certified Erosion & Sediment Control Lead (CESCL).
  • Strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal communication and technical communication skills are mandatory, along with the ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules.
  • The ability to prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondence, and other written materials.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CESCL certification.
  • Experience developing and writing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs).
  • Understanding of GIS relevant to environmental projects.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
