Position SummaryThe NG9-1-1 Project Office Coordinator: Supports the delivery of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) initiatives by providing project coordination, administrative oversight, and cross-team support within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment. This role works closely with project managers, technical teams, GIS partners, PSAP stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure NG9-1-1 projects are organized, documented, and progressing according to schedule and governance standards. The ideal candidate has experience supporting technology or public-safety projects, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with NG9-1-1 concepts, GIS data, or telecom/network modernization. Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination & PMO Support: Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities for NG9-1-1 projects within the PMOSupport project managers with schedules, action items, status tracking, and deliverables Maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, risk logs, and change requestsAssist with onboarding new projects into the PMO framework Communication & Stakeholder Support: Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder sessionsPrepare agendas, meeting minutes, and follow-up action itemsServe as a liaison between project managers, technical teams, GIS staff, PSAPs, and vendorsSupport communication with state, regional, and local NG9-1-1 stakeholders Reporting & Documentation: Compile weekly and monthly project status reportsTrack milestones, dependencies, risks, and issuesSupport compliance with NG9-1-1 governance, funding, and reporting requirementsMaintain centralized project repositories (SharePoint, Teams, or similar platforms) Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a project coordination, PMO support, or administrative roleStrong organizational, documentation, and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration toolsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting NG9-1-1, public safety, GIS, telecom, or IT infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with PMO processes and project management methodologiesExperience working with government agencies, PSAPs, or public-sector stakeholdersKnowledge of NG9-1-1 concepts such as ESInet, GIS data readiness, call handling, or transition planning | |
